Sony BRAVIA 8 II

The OLED for viewers who value Sony's picture processing and built-in sound over peak brightness and gaming ports.

Very good

Best for: Movie fans who want accurate picture and good sound without a soundbar

Sony's QD-OLED, launched in 2025 and still its main OLED, won a What Hi-Fi? Award, which praised its bright, three-dimensional picture, perfect blacks and authentic look straight out of the box. TechRadar found it notably brighter than the original Bravia 8, with rich but accurate color and an effective anti-reflective screen, and rated its Acoustic Surface Audio+ sound a clear notch above most TV speakers. Both reviews note it is not as bright as LG's and Samsung's flagship OLEDs, and only two of its four HDMI ports support 4K 120Hz and VRR. It also skips HDR10+. It launched at $3,499 for the 65-inch; Sony now lists it at $3,299.99.
