TCL QM7L
Bright, colorful Mini LED HDR well below OLED prices, with viewing angles as the main caveat for wide seating.

Our verdict
The QM7L is TCL's 2026 mid-range SQD Mini LED TV, sold in sizes from 55 to 98 inches, and the 55-inch is the cheapest way into TCL's SQD sets since the QM8L starts at 65 inches. Tom's Guide named it its top Mini LED value of the year, and Digital Trends gave it an Editors' Choice for flagship-like color at a mid-range price. Reviewers measured about 2,400-2,800 nits in HDR, and CGMagazine praised its near-OLED black levels. The trade-offs are a glossy, reflective screen, narrow viewing angles with off-axis blooming, and only two of four HDMI ports running at full 144Hz bandwidth.
What's good
- Very bright HDR for the price
- Deep blacks for an LCD
- Wide color coverage
- Full gaming feature set with 144Hz and VRR
What's not
- Glossy screen shows reflections
- Mediocre viewing angles with off-axis blooming
- Only two full-bandwidth HDMI ports
- Wi-Fi 5 and no ATSC 3.0 tuner
