Amazon Alexa Tablet 12 Pro
Amazon's first full Android tablet is a credible budget alternative to the iPad Air, held back mainly by Android's large-screen apps.

Our verdict
The Alexa Tablet 12 Pro replaces Amazon's Fire tablets with a full Android tablet that includes the Google Play Store, an aluminum body and a sharp 12-inch 120Hz display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. Engadget scored it 8.4 out of 10 and called it a strong value, praising the optional nanomatte screen and accessories that cost less than Apple's. Reviewers noted occasional lag and app-switching stutter, and many Android apps still feel like stretched phone apps. Engadget got close to eight hours of mixed work use, short of Amazon's 16-hour video claim.
