ASUS Zenbook S14 (2026, Core Ultra 9 386H, 32GB/1TB)
A light, long-lasting ultrabook with a good OLED screen, held back only by its weak graphics for the price.

Our verdict
The 2026 Zenbook S14 keeps the thin, light chassis of its predecessor and moves to Intel's Panther Lake platform with 32GB of memory and a 1TB SSD in this configuration. Notebookcheck measured about 16 hours of Wi-Fi browsing at 150 nits from the larger 77Wh battery, and found the 120Hz OLED accurate with HDR peaks above 1,000 nits. The keyboard and speakers are well regarded, and it keeps USB-A and HDMI alongside two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The weak points are an integrated GPU that is slower than the previous generation's, louder fans under load, PWM flicker on the OLED, and soldered memory.
