Bose SoundLink Max
A tough, enjoyable big portable that trades a little detail for punch and long battery life.

Our verdict
Bose's largest portable speaker pairs a rugged, IP67-rated body with a 20-hour battery and aptX Adaptive support. Reviewers describe a lively, energetic sound with powerful, tight bass, and find it easy to live with day to day. It is not the most transparent-sounding speaker at the price, and there is no microphone for calls. At over 2kg it is portable rather than pocketable.
