Sonos Arc Ultra
The most complete single-box soundbar for most people, provided you can live without HDMI inputs and DTS:X.

Our verdict
Sonos's flagship soundbar replaces the original Arc with a new driver layout built around its flat Sound Motion woofer, and reviewers report notably punchier, more tuneful bass along with a cleaner, more precise presentation. Its Dolby Atmos effect is convincing for a single bar, and it is detailed enough to work well as a music speaker too. Setup is simple: one HDMI eARC cable to the TV and the Sonos app. The trade-offs are the lack of HDMI passthrough, no DTS:X support, and a US list price that has risen from $999 to $1,099.
