Microsoft Surface Pro 13-inch (12th Edition, Snapdragon X2 Plus, LCD, 16GB/256GB)
The most capable Windows tablet you can buy from Microsoft, but with the keyboard added it costs as much as a premium laptop and is only a modest step over the last model.
Our verdict
The 13-inch Surface Pro (12th Edition) is Microsoft's Windows 11 2-in-1, now running Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 chips with an 80 TOPS NPU. The base model pairs a 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus with a 2880 x 1920, 120Hz LCD, 16GB of RAM and a removable 256GB SSD; an OLED panel costs extra. Notebookcheck's review of the higher-end OLED model found much faster graphics than the previous generation but only a small CPU gain, praised the build, cameras and battery life, and noted the case runs hot under sustained load. Microsoft's list price starts at $1,499.99 without a keyboard, which is sold separately, so a usable laptop setup costs considerably more.
