Acer Aspire 16 AI (Snapdragon X, 16GB/512GB)
A rare budget laptop that does not skimp on memory, storage or screen size, held back mainly by weak graphics.

Our verdict
The Aspire 16 AI puts a large 120Hz 16-inch screen, 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD into a budget Windows laptop that weighs well under 3.5 pounds. Its entry-level Snapdragon X chip handles office work and browsing well for the price, and PCWorld measured roughly 15.5 hours of video playback. Integrated graphics are modest, so it is not a gaming or video-editing machine, and the keyboard with a numpad feels cramped. As an Arm-based Windows PC, it is best suited to people whose apps run natively or well under emulation.
What's good
- Large, smooth 120Hz 16-inch display
- 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD at a budget price
- Long battery life in video playback testing
- USB4 and Wi-Fi 7
What's not
- Weak integrated graphics
- Keyboard with numpad feels cramped
- Arm-based Windows can still trip up some older apps and games
